Here is the current version of my Moroccan inspired environment illustration. I decided to add more contrast as I realised the last version of the painting was losing the focal points and everything was competing for attention as a result.

I spent most of my time on this one detailing the buildings and improving the shape variety through the city so that it was more interesting, I have also added some mountains in the background to break up the sky and provide a framing element. And have added pools of light everywhere to again add interest and focal points for the composition.

I think most of the work left is for the foreground, where I want to add some pools of light and detail around them.
